Privacy Policy
This page says what wardogs.tech keeps about you, why, for how long, and how to remove it. It is written to be read, not to cover us.
When you sign in with Discord
We receive your Discord id, display name and avatar, and we keep them so the site knows who you are. If you use the Discord app inside a voice channel, or a community you belong to has linked its Discord server, we also read which servers you are in and which roles you hold there, because that is how a community's ranks follow you onto the site. We do not read your messages. Discord access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted and used only for those lookups.
When you use the map
War rooms hold callsigns, the pins and drawings people place, and a device identifier so you can rejoin your own room. Rooms expire on their own and take that with them. A room's commander can upload a map image; it is stored until the room expires.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. The public demo sets one that tells it which visitor you are. A preview cookie exists for people testing unreleased pages. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else sees data
The service runs on Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Upstash (cache), Cloudflare (realtime connections) and Vercel Blob (uploaded images). Steam's Web API is queried for public profiles. Discord provides sign-in and, where linked, server and role lists. Nobody buys, rents or is otherwise given your data.
Removing your data
From the account page you can sign out everywhere or delete your account. Deleting removes your Discord identity, your community memberships and your Steam link; entries in a community's audit log keep the action but lose the name. Player records seen on a game server belong to the community that runs that server; ask them, or email us and we will help.
Age
Discord requires its users to be at least 13, and so do we. We do not knowingly keep data about anyone younger.
Changes and contact
